I completed my training in 1998 as a commercial employee in the hotel business of the SHV and then spent another 2 years in the hotel business. After that, I was drawn to the field of event management, where I eventually worked for over 13 years. I have organized small but also large events with over 3,000 people, and during my time as project manager at the Congress Center Basel I benefited from the opportunity to get to know all kinds of events and at the same time to gain an insight into the banquet and catering areas, as we worked very closely and intensively with our catering partners. In the end, however, I remained faithful to the hotel industry and gastronomy and was able to make my dream come true as the manager of a business – the Hofmatt – which we more or less created from scratch. For me, close contact with people and guests is essential and being the face of such a business fills me with great joy.
